How do I use the Microsoft Authenticator app to provide MFA for Minerva?

Click “Learn more about the Microsoft Authenticator app” on the page that shows up when you login.

A new page will open. Scroll down until you get to the title “To set up the Microsoft Authenticator app” and on step one, click “My account portal”.

A new page will open. Under “Security info” click “update info”.

A new page will open. Click “+ Add sign-in method” if Microsoft Authenticator is not listed under your sign-in methods.

A box will pop up with a drop-down option. Choose “Authenticator app”.

Click add.

After you install the Authenticator app on your phone, follow the steps below to add your account:

• Open the Authenticator app.
• Select (+) in the upper right corner.
• Sign into the account that you use to access Minerva

A new window will appear. Click Next.

Click Next.

Use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone to scan the barcode.

• Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.
• Go to “Verified ID’s” on the bottom left corner of the app.
• Press “Scan QR code” and scan the QR code on your computer screen.

• Click Next.
• The next page will have a number on it.
• You will be notified on the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone to enter the number that is on your computer screen.
• Once the number is entered on your phone and you click next, you will now be able to access Minerva.
